2017 Palomino Backpack SS500 slide in/pop-up truck camper. This is a very nice and easy to use setup. It has electric jacks to make loading and unloading very easy with a wireless remote. Each jack can work independently to get the camper level on any ground then all 4 work together to lift the whole unit off the truck. Then once it’s off the truck you can raise and lower the roof with a flip of a switch as well. This unit also comes with a A/C unit. It has a queen sized bed in the overhead area with a Power vent fan and two led lights. Then down on the main floor you have a U-shaped couch/bench/dining area/twin bed. there is a battery and a fresh water storage tank under the center of the bench. On the passenger rear area you have a counter top with a glass covered 2-burner stove and a glass covered sink giving you a lot of usable counter space. The above attached to the roof is an overhead cabinet with two doors that has plenty of storage for groceries and pots and pans. On the driver side there is a 3-way refrigerator gas/electric/12V. There is also a propane furnace and a storage pouch for remotes and other things. Above that there is another overhead cabinet attached to the roof it is an open design with a net to hold thing in. It can store even kore groceries. There are several outlets inside this camper. All lights are LED. On the outside there is a shower, hot water heater and a propane tank. All of the canvas windows unzip in two layers, a tinted plastic window and a screen. They also completely unzip for open windows. You can run almost everything on a 2000 watt generator for remote camping. You really will not find a better setup for traveling and exploring with your rig. The best part is you can still haul your toys on a trailer behind you. You will need to get your own tie down system as they are vehicle unique. But you can haul it with 6 ratchet straps till you are able to find a system for your vehicle. I hauled it from mid Iowa to Fort Leonard wood MO with straps. This is designed for a midsize truck. I am currently using it on a full-size truck with the use of a 3” wood floor to clear the cab. Works great. We are wanting to buy some land so we are selling toys. Been kept out of the weather except for when in use.
